Biography

Dr Andrew Eberding, ND MSc

My early life was spent in central BC’s Cariboo region. I was raised on a farm and learned many values and skills: hard work, problem solving and perseverance. I was surrounded by nature and it became an important part of my development. All the components of my childhood have strengthened and carried me through forays into many interesting occupational experiences – design and drafting projects from highways to high-rises, the inner workings of a pharmaceutical development company, ancient craftsmanship of timber frame construction and cancer research at the Prostate Centre at VGH. Beyond the occupational experiences were the more important personal ones. At a young age, my wife and I were given the gift of children. It was my desire to give our sonsthe best possible childhood that actually lead me into complementary healthcare. The more I learned, the more interested I became; I soon knew that a career in Naturopathic medicine was my calling. With the support of my family, I made my circuitous way through a degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from UNBC, a MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UBC and a Naturopathic Doctorate from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Now, I take pleasure in my work helping others with their health concerns. I enjoy the varied demands of general family practice. My focus and interest is in pain and trauma treatment, pediatric health, allergies and immune health, weight management and complex multi-systemic medicine.
